| THE WICKENBURG SUN THE WEEK OF MARCH 26, 2003 Ruth Harriet Thorne Gray Ruth Harriet Thorne Gray, 49, passed away March 14, 2003 at her home in Prescott, Ariz. Ruth was born April 24, 1953 at Stanley, Wis. and moved to Wickenburg, Ariz. with her family in 1966. Ruth attended Pleasant Hill School, Owen-Withee School in Wisconsin, graduating in 1971 from Wickenburg High School in Wickenburg, Ariz. Ruth graduated from Northern Arizona University and received her Master of Science degree from Washington State University in Pullman, Wash. On July 3, 1976, Ruth and Joseph I. Gray were married in Wickenburg. They traveled with the Navy, living in San Diego, Calif.; Bremerton, Wash.; Ewa Beach Oahu, Hawaii; and Stockton, Calif. Prior to her illness, Ruth was employed by the state of Arizona working in Family Assistance administration. Surviving are her husband, Joseph I. Gray, sons Ira of Prescott, Ariz. and Chad with the U.S. Navy in Norfolk, Va. Her mother Marjorie Thorne of Wickenburg, her sister Pamela (Mark) Wiebelhaus and niece Sarah Wiebelhaus of Highlands Ranch, Colo. Memorial services will be held at the American Lutheran Church, 1085 Scott Drive, Prescott, on Saturday, March 29 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice Family Care, 100 E. Sheldon St., suite 100, Prescott, Ariz. 86301, 928-541-1740. |
