Clyde W. Brown Sr.

Clyde W. Brown Sr., 76, born April 13, 1928 in Tarentum, Pa., completed his journey and took the hands of our Heavenly Father on Sept. 9, 2004.

He served in the U.S. Navy from March 1946 to October 1949 as an electrician's mate and fireman aboard the US Amphion "AR 13." In later years, he retired as a security guard.

He was preceded in death by his son Clyde W. Brown Jr ("Butchie").

He is survived by wife Janie of Wittmann, daughter Shirley Robbins of Phoenix, six step-sons, four step-daughters, 46 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by his brothers Robert Brown and Boyd Brown of Tarentum, Pa., and Thomas Brown of Stephens City, Va.

Viewing was Monday (Oct. 4) at Sunwest Funeral Home in El Mirage, Ariz. Funeral services were held Tuesday (Oct. 5). Graveside services were held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona following the funeral services.
