Eugene Quenzer Born in Herried, South Dakota on Nov. 19, 1921. Departed on July 26, 2003 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona. Eugene Quenzer, 81, of Bend, Oregon and formerly of Cottonwood died July 26 in Bend. He was born November 19, 1921 in Herried, South Dakota. He was a retired accounting clerk for the South Dakota Department of Transportation. He was a member of the Verde Baptist Church. An Army veteran of Wolrd War II, he served in the 87th Signal Company. Mr. Quenzer leaves a daughter, Joyce Gerlach, Clarkdale; sons, Davis Quenzer, Bend, Or. and Douglas Quenzer, Webster, Wisc.; a sister Rose Wanner, Eureka, S.D.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9 in the Verde Baptist Church at 10:00 am. A graveside service will be held at Valley View at 9:00 a.m. Westcott Funeral Home is assisting the family with these arrangements. Westcott Funeral Home, Cottonwood and Camp Verde, Arizona.
