Arland (Curley) Ardell Penrod

Arland "Curley" Ardell Penrod died peacefully at his home Feb. 25, 2005 in House, New Mexico.

Curley was born Aug. 18, 1939 at the Penrod homestead in Pinon to Martin and Frances Penrod. Curley served in the United States Air Force in the Tactical Air Fighter Squadron as a Crew Chief from 1958 -1962. He was a talented musician and song writer who shared his love of music with everyone he knew throughout the country. The notes he sang will truly be missed.

He is survived by his children, Frances (Terry) Davenport of Tollison, Penny (Dan) Anderson of Belen, New Mexico, Karen (Greg) Gibbons of Phoenix, LaQuita (James) Houston of Los Lunas, New Mexico; grandchildren, Shane (Stephanie) Davenport of Ft. Hood, Texas, Raymond Davenport of Tollison, Jessica Davenport of Tollison, Randy Ardale Henson of Fairfield, Illinois, Christopher (Kimberly) Hiley of West Valley City, Utah, Quentin (Samantha) Hiley of Ft. Leonardwood, Missouri, Melody (Shawn) Gariss of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Daniel Penrod of Belen, New Mexico, Nicole (William) Bishop of Phoenix, Jennifer Davis of Phoenix, Jamie Davis of Phoenix, Darcy Penrod of Phoenix, Larado Houston, Marty Bronc Houston and LaKota Houston all of Los Lunas, New Mexico; 13 great-grandchildren; his siblings Lenford (Jane) Penrod of Festus, Missouri, Johnny (Peggy) Penrod of Joseph City, Eddie (Cathy) Penrod of Louisville, Kentucky, Frieda (Max) Lilly of Sanders; Audrey (Duane) Ketterling of Java, South Dakota.

He is also survived by his wife Susan Marie Penrod of House, New Mexico; his step-children Krista (Jimmy) Boutwell of Globe, Andrew (Stephanie) Kacheroski III of Tucson; and two step-grandaughters.

Services will be held at the LDS Lakeside Stake Center, Lakeside Saturday, March 5 at 1 p.m.
