Marilyn T. Boyd

Marilyn T. Boyd, age 61, passed away Friday, Feb. 16 at her residence in Morristown. Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday, Feb. 21) at 10 a.m. at the Wickenburg Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with Bishop William L. Johnson conducting. Visitation was held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wickenburg Funeral Home.

Marilyn was born March 28, 1945 to Phillip and Madge Taylor in Brigham City, Utah. They later moved to Carson City, Nev., where she was raised and met and married the father of her six children.

Marilyn continued her education and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Education from Northern Arizona University. She taught school for a total of 14 years. The last 10 years she has taught in Wickenburg, Aguila and Wittmann.

Marilyn has always loved the outdoors, being near the mountains and her animals.

Her kitchen was always facing the mountains so she could enjoy her two favorite things, eating and the mountains.

Marilyn is survived by her six loving children, who have lived, loved, and learned from her: James Boyd of Phoenix; Julie Asay (Paul) of Laramie, Wyo.; Nathan Boyd (Jessyka) of Phoenix; Nora Gray (David) of Phoenix; Amy Allen (Scott) of Las Vegas, Nev.; and Andrew Boyd (Charlotte) of Phoenix; her five and grandchildren and a sister and brother-in-law Kathryn McNieven (Rodney) of Berlington, Wyo.

We all love her, and she will be greatly missed.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wickenburg Funeral Home.
