| STANFIELD - Ruth Elizabeth Weams, 84, of Stanfield died Nov. 17, 2006 at RTA Hospice House in Casa Grande. The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Nov. 28 at First Baptist Church in Casa Grande, with the Rev. Lonnie Gee officiating. Mrs. Weams was born Dec. 8, 1921 in Delta, Colo., and lived in Arizona for 55 years. From 1954 to 1982 she worked at Stanfield School and was the cafeteria manager. Many former students and teachers remember her excellent meals. She had a dry sense of humor and was a devoted Christian. She loved sewing, reading and being with her grandchildren. Survivors include a son, Roger Weams of Tucson; a daughter, Aleta Weams of Stanfield; two sisters, Rose Ray of Canon City, Colo., and Helen Foreman of Delta; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 17 years, Charles T., in 1964, and four brothers and three sisters.
