Kaylenzo Hollins

Kaylenzo Hollins was born into this life Dec. 18, 1954, in McNary to the late Willie Hollins Sr. and Rosie Lee Hollins of Holbrook.

The sun set one final time for him June 18, 2009, where he went quietly with the Lord at the home of his daughter in Tempe.

During his final moments Kaylenzo was surrounded by lots of love and family, his only child and daughter Devyn Hollins, his fiancée Veronica Duran, one of his seven brothers, Jesse Ray Hollins, and his grandson LaKeiveon Lewis.

In 1955, Kaylenzo, along with his loving parents and seven siblings, moved from McNary to Holbrook.

Kaylenzo attended Holbrook public schools, where he graduated from Holbrook High School in 1973.

After graduation Kaylenzo met Robin Hansen and of their union they produced a beautiful baby girl, Devyn Ann Hollins, who was the apple of her daddy's eye.

After a long courtship, Kaylenzo married Alice Mallette of Winslow and with their two daughters, Devyn Ann and Audrey, they relocated to Tempe.

While in Tempe, Kaylenzo was employed for six years with the Kyrene School District.

Kaylenzo felt he wanted to return to school so he attended ITT Business College where he graduated and received a degree in computer management.

Kaylenzo, along with his parents and family, was extremely proud of his accomplishment.

Due to health reasons he returned home to Holbrook where he remained until three weeks before his departure from this earth.

Kaylenzo recently rededicated his life to the Lord as a member of St. Johns Baptist Church. Kaylenzo enjoyed fellowship with his church family and friends.

He was very well known amongst his peers and fun to be around. When in need Kaylenzo did not hesitate to help when called upon by family and friends.

Kaylenzo Hollins leaves to cherish his memories his beautiful baby girl, Devyn Ann Hollins of Tempe; two precious grandchildren, LaKeiveon Lewis of Phoenix and Dez'tini Nicolle Snelling of Queen Creek.

He also leaves behind his fiancé Veronica Duran of Holbrook; three sisters, Shirley Jean (Hollins) Hunt of Holbrook, Katie (Sonny) McClendon of Tempe and Annie (Albert) Redd of Winslow.

Survivors include seven brothers, Robert James (Annett) Sweet of Many, La., Isaac Hollins Sr., of Fresno, Calif., Willie Jr., (Patricia) Hollins of Show Low Jesse Ray (Debbie) Hollins of Phoenix, Edward Earl (Cory) Hollins, Oasker (Delphine) Hollins and George Hollins, all of Holbrook.

He is also survived by an uncle, Charlie Thompson of Many, La.; aunts Rubi Twine of San Francisco, Calif., Charlene (Robert) Toliver of Many, La.; and a host of extremely close nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, church family and dear friends.

Kaylenzo was preceded in death by his loving parents, Willie Hollins Sr. and Rosie Lee Hollins; sisters Rose Marie and Joyce Ann Hollins; a host of close aunts, uncles; and his dear friend and mother of his daughter, Robin Hansen.

A visitation will be held Saturday, June, 27, from 9-11 a.m. at the St. Johns Baptist Church, 803 Lewis Dr., in Holbrook.

Funeral services will be held immediately following at the church. Interment will be in the Holbrook Cemetery.
