Carol Ann Hood Born in Glendale, California on May 30, 1942. Departed on July 30, 2002 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona. Carol Ann Hood, a resident of Sedona, passed away at age 60, July 30, 2002 in the arms of her loving husband, Ben. Before moving to Sedona, she was a resident of Gulf Breeze, Florida. Mrs. Hood was born in Glendale, California on May 30, 1942, later moving to Temple City, California and receiving her education there. She was an accomplished artist in all mediums, having continued her art education at many colleges and universities with well known artists. Her work was exhibited nationally in more than 300 shows and she was the recipient of many awards in sculpture, painting and jewelry making. Her love of horses, animals and nature, along with her humor and sensitivity, were reflected in her artwork. She is survived by her husband Ben Hood of Sedona whom she shared a beautiful love of 42 years; son Nathan Hood and Leslie, Tucson; two grandchildren, Rachel and Bryce Hood; her mother, Dorothy Kilburn of Woodland, Calif. and her sister, Susan Jorgensen and Larry, Esparto, Calif. As per her wishes, no services will be held. Donations in her memory may be made to the Sedona Arts Center, P O Box 569, Sedona 86339. Westcott Funeral Home was entrusted with these arrangements.
