| Kathryn Yvonne Johns Born in Phoenix, Arizona on Nov. 28, 1927. Departed on Sept. 26, 2002 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona. Kathryn Yvonne Johns, 74, of Cottonwood died September 26. She was born November 28, 1927 in Phoenix, Arizona. Mrs. Johns was retired from the Phoenix Police Department. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the City of Phoenix Municipal Employees Association. She was also the family genealogist for many years. Mrs. Johns is survived by her mother, Lola Cluff; a daughter, Ricki Gibbons both of Felton, Calif., sons, Thurman Randall Johns, Lake Forest, Calif., Robin Edward Johns, Austin, Tx.; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Johns, Jr. who was a reporter for the Phoenix Gazette for twenty years. A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 29th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E. Mingus Ave. Cottonwood, Ariz. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, September 30th at 11:00 a.m. in Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery 719 N. 27th Avenue, Phoenix, Az. Westcott Funeral Home, Cottonwood and Camp Verde, Arizona.
