| Martha E. Braley Born in Jerome, Arizona on Aug. 19, 1911. Departed on Sept. 29, 2002 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona. Martha Elizabeth (Jones) Braley, 91, of Cottonwood died September 29. She was raised in Clarkdale, where her father, Thomas B. Jones had a furniture store and helped pastor the Methodist Churches in Jerome and Clarkdale. She married her high school sweetheart, Bill Braley in 1931. She is survived by her son, Jim Braley; daughter, Jean Smeriglio; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Braley will be interred next to her husband at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, California in a private graveside service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Verde Valley Christian School, 102 S, Willard St., Cottonwood, Ariz., 86326. Westcott Funeral handled the local arrangements.
