Margaret M. Eby of Surprise, AZ, former longtime resident of Dolton, IL passed away on May 23. During World War II, Marge was left to raise her eldest son alone after her husband Bill shipped off to fight the war in the Pacific with the Seabees. Marge worked in a factory supporting the war effort, and as a women in her early twenties clung to her young son for hope. Bill returned safe from the war. Marge saved enough money to buy a house in Dolton, IL where Bill and Marge started their family. There they ran a small construction company and raised seven children. Marge always had a soft spot in her heart for children, especially young babies. Perhaps that was because, as a young mother, her baby gave her the strength to get through the hardships of war. She was never satisfied at family gatherings until she held the youngest child in her arms. Her family meant everything to her. Marge died on May 23 at the age of 87. She will be remembered as a sensitive, loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will also be remembered as a determined individual who asked for little and gave much. She will be missed by all. Marge Eby was the beloved wife of the late William E. Eby; loving mother of William P. Eby (Bernadette), Madelaine Englund (Carl), Francis Eby (Lorie Lyn), Lawrence (Paula), Mary M. Eby, Rosemarie Eby Collom (Wayne), Ruthann Richardson (Michael); dear grandmother of William J.
