Published: Wednesday, June 10, 2009 12:25 PM CDT Kime Connie Antonio Valadez, 80, of Camp Verde passed away on Sunday, May 31 at Phoenix Indian Medical Center in Phoenix. She was born in Fort Huachuca on April 18, 1929, the daughter of Ivan and Dorothy (Ivans) Antonio. Kime grew up in Cedar Creek and went to High School at the Phoenix Indian High School. She attended Nursing School in Oklahoma where she met her husband Angelo Valadez Sr. They were married for fifty years. She worked for thirty-three years as an LPN Nurse for the Indian Health Service in Whiteriver and retired in San Carlos in 2001. She enjoyed spending time with her daughters and grandchildren in Mesa and Camp Verde. She was preceded in death by her husband Angelo Valadez Sr., in 2003. Kime is survived by her children Rachel (Sherwin) Williams, John (Darla) Valadez, Ramona (Cleveland) Valadez-Pusher, Angelina Adams, Angelo (Gloria Mull) Valadez, and Mary Ann Peaches, her brother Chester (Isabel) Antonio, twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. A wake was held on Saturday, June 6 at 6 a.m. at the Freedom Holiness Church in San Carlos. Funeral Services were held on Saturday, June 6 at 1 p.m. at the Freedom Holiness Church with interment taking place at the San Carlos Cemetery. Lamont Mortuary of Globe assisted the family.
