(August 19, 1920 - June 18, 2009)

Ila Butler Farnsworth, 88, of Taylor, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2009, at her residence. She was born August 19, 1920, at Clay Springs the daughter of Julias and Martha Ann (Holyoak) Butler.

She was raised and attended school at Taylor and graduated from Taylor High School. She was married to Ivan Farnsworth on February 14, 1940, at Taylor. They lived all around the state as her husband worked construction and ranches. She was a lifelong homemaker; lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she held many positions; and was a current member of the Taylor Eighth Ward. Her hobbies included sewing and quilting.

Survivors include two daughters, Nadene and husband Harmon Neff of Taylor and Merlene Farnsworth Lewis of Mesa; three sons, Ivan and wife Samantha Farnsworth of Ft. Thomas, Richard Barr and wife Hilda Farnsworth of Webb City, Missouri and William J. and wife Elaine Farnsworth of Riverton, Utah; 23 grandchildren; 48 great grand children and 14 great great grand children. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ivan C. Farnsworth, four sisters and five brothers.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday at the Taylor Cemetery with Bishop Keith West officiating.
