| The Wickenburg Sun dated April 15, 2009, Page A7 The family of Venice C. Peterson would like to acknowledge her passing. Venice entered into eternal rest on the evening of Saturday, April 11. Services will be held at the Wickenburg Funeral Home on Friday (April 17) at 10 a.m. with viewing prior to the service. Presiding over the services will be Larry Greenaway and Debra Gillette. Interment will be at the Wickenburg Cemetery following the services. Venice was born in Creighton, Neb., on Feb. 21, 1918. She married Paul E. Peterson in May of 1941 in Harrisburg, Neb. Shortly after the birth of their third son in 1951 they moved to Wickenburg, where they spent the rest of their lives. Venice was a quiet, accepting and faithful woman who spent her life devoted to her faith, family and friends. She will be truly missed by everyone who was touched by her love and friendship. Venice was preceded in death by her parents Frederick James and Elsie Clair, husband Paul (2008), sons Richard A. "Pete" (2008), Bruce E. (2009), brother Harold, and sisters Dolores and Audrey. She is survived by her sons Douglas, Martin, Russell and daughters-in-law Rosemary and JoAnn; grandchildren Jeff (Tracey), Jerry, Brian (Yvette), Keith (Coleen), Erin (Steve), Jacob, Amelia and great-grandchildren Kade, Clare, Miley, Lillian, Matthew, and Chiara-Lee. Venice is also survived by her siblings Esther Welch and James (Mabel) Dedlow, along with many nieces and nephews. Arrangements are under the direction of Wickenburg Funeral Home.
