| The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ March 3, 2004, p. B11 Walter L. Martin, 67, passed away on Feb. 28, 2004. Walter was born in Arkansas on Feb. 25, 1937 to Edgar and Rhea Martin. Walter was a lifetime member of the Elks, member of the Thunderbird Racing Pigeon Club of Glendale and an avid sportsman. He moved to Wickenburg in 1965 where he purchased the 76 Union Service Station in Wickenburg and operated it until 1983. He is preceded by parents Edgar and Rhea Martin, brothers Francis E. Lott and F. Wayne Martin. He is survived by his wife Doris L. Reed-Martin of Wickenburg; three sons Walter Dean (Marie) Martin, Wickenburg, David John (Jane) Martin, Gilbert, Dwayne E. (Carol) Martin, Wickenburg; two brothers Bill C. Martin, Monahans, Texas, Donald G. Martin, Orofino, Idaho; 10 grandchildren Dena, Aubra, Tara, Elvira, Melinda, Melissa, David T., Zachary, Josi, and Tristin. Graveside services will be held March 4, 2004, at 11 a.m. at the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements made by Frey Funeral Home. See Also: Find A Grave |
