Born in Northfield, Massachusetts on June 13, 1924.
Departed on April 1, 2002 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona.

Henry J. Aleksiewicz of Clarkdale. fomerly of Brattleboro, Vermont., and Turners Falls, Massachusetts died April 1, 2002.

Born in Northfield, Massachusetts on June 13, 1924, the son of Francek and Regina Aleksiewicz. Mr. Aleksiewicz attended St. Michael's High School in Brattleboro, Vermont. He served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Walter Wann from 1943-1946.

Mr. Aleksiewicz was by trade a greenskeeper. He worked at various times at the Brattleboro Country Club, the Spofford Country Club and most recently at the Thomas Memorial Country Club in Turners Falls, Massachusetts. He held a certificate in agronomy from University of Massachusetts, Stockbridge of Agriculture. He moved to Cottonwood in 1981 and was employed there by the US Forest Services until his retirement. In Massachsuetts Mr. Aleksiewicz was a member of the Benevolent Protective Order of the Elks and the St. Kazimier's Club.

He leaves his loving wife, the former Joanne R. LaPerle of Randolph, Vermont to whom he was married on August 26, 1950; sons, Gary Aleksiewicz, Alachua, Fla., Mark Aleksiewicz, Tuners Falls, Mass. and Matthew Aleksiewicz, Cottonwood; daughters, Linda Grout, Brattleboro, Vt., Christine Wilhelm, Lakewood, Oh., Mary-Ellen De Tar, Camp Verde and Melissa Prestinario, San Jose, Calif.; and thirteen grandchildren.

His twin brothers, Joseph and Theodore Aleksiewicz and his sisters, Edna Aleksiewicz and Joanna Regan predeceased him.

During his life, Mr. Aleksiewicz shared his love of the land with his children, especially his sons. An avid golfer, he loved nothing more than to be outside on a course, whether he was working or playing. He especially loved being surrounded by his children and grandchildren.

A funeral Mass on Friday, April 26, 2002 at Sts. Rogatian and Donatian Catholic Church in Randolph, Vermont at 10 a.m.

Inurnment of ashes will take place in the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph Center immediately following the Mass.

Donations in Mr. Aleksiewicz's memory may be made to the Children's Hospital Dartmouth (CHAD), c/o Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Ceneter, 1 Hospital Drive, W. Lebanon, N.H.
