Dena Mae (Biggs) Mitchell

Dena Mae Mitchell, 77, of Dudleyville, died on July 9, 2009 in Tucson.

She was born Aug. 30, 1931 in Tennessee and moved to Arizona in 1940 where she was a longtime resident of the Copper Basin area. A homemaker, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend who touched the lives of many people over the years and will be greatly missed by all.

Mrs. Mitchell leaves behind her husband of 24 years, John E. Mitchell; children, Susan D. Welch, Jessie A. (Mike) Farnsworth, Fred L. Goodwin, David J. Goodwin, Norma J. (John) Martinez and Lawrence O. (Sheri) Goodwin; stepsons, John N. (Connie) Mitchell and Ronald D. (Patricia) Mitchell; 24 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Nellie M. Ellis, father, General O. Biggs, daughter, Judy L. Morrison, and granddaughter Lindsey A. Goodwin.

The family held private memorial services.
