Dorma Maggie (Penrod) Dudley

Dorma was born in Show Low to Wal and Alice Penrod. She was raised on a homestead in Pinyon and in Show Low. She attended Snowflake Union High School, graduating in May of 1944. She attended Business College in Albuquerque, N.M, graduating in May of 1945.

Dorma worked as a waitress in her parent's café, was a telephone operator, and managed the Show Low Airport Air Transit from 1965-1969. She was one of the first dispatchers for the Show Low Police Department and even worked under cover with the FBI at times.

Dorma moved to Apache Junction in 1981 where she managed a dress and wig shop. In 1982 she was the activity director at the Lost Dutchman R.V. Park. In 1983 she helped put together and was manager of the Superstition Lookout R.V. Park in Apache Junction, where she also served on the Zoning and Sewer boards. Dorma retired in 1998, living in Apache junction until her death.

Dorma is survived by her husband, Wesley Dudley; two daughters, Ginger (Douglas) McCray of Show Low, and Lorrie Weight of Queen Creek; one son, Sylven (Amy) Fletcher of Apache Junction; two sisters, Alberta (Garth) Nikolaus of Show Low, and Veldea (Ronald) Willis of Mesa; 20 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
