Wanda Mae (Penrod) Young

Wanda Mae Young, of Flagstaff, died Monday, Jan. 10, at Flagstaff Medical Center, with her family by her side. She was 77.

She was born Dec. 16, 1927 to Dellie and Idabell Penrod in Pinetop. She grew up in the Pinetop-Vernon area, where her parents were involved inthe farming and ranching business.

Mrs. Young moved in 1961 to the Flagstaff area, where she and her late husband Hank Young, owned and operated Hank's Trading Post, north of Flagstaff for many years. In 1977, she sold Hank's and retired in Flagstaff.

She is survived by her daughters, Vickie Whiting Kerulis and Shelly Hall Hagaman, both of Flagstaff; brother Preston Penrod of Kingman; sister Shirley Adkins of Tacna; six grand children and three great-grandchildren.
