Myrtle E. Conrad passed November 15, 2007 at the age 89, after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Faribault, Minnesota, the youngest of three daughters to Leroy and Aileen Erb. Her school attendance included eight years in country schools, four years in Faribault High School and four years at Mankato State Teachers College, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Education. After teaching five years of junior high school English and Social Studies she married Warrant Officer Everard Conrad of Jeffers, Minnesota. Following 30 years in the Air Force, they retired to Tucson. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Everard Conrad, her only daughter, Constance (Connie), her son-in-law, Chuck Layne, two grandchildren, Conrad and Rebecca (Roy Al) Short, two great-grandchildren, Riah Jane and Rustin Short. She was loved, and will be missed, by family and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and both sisters. Service will be conducted by Pastor Susanne Havlic on Wednesday November 21, 2007 at Abounding Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. with service to follow at 12:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to EAST LAWN PALMS, 5801 E. Grant Rd. |
