John Oesdean

Born in Alliance, Ohio on Aug. 4, 1922.
Departed on July 18, 2006 and resided in Clarkdale, Arizona.

John Oesdean, 83, current resident of Clarkdale, Arizona and former resident of Sedona, Arizona for 21 years, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2006. John was born August 4, 1922 in Alliance, Ohio to Onsie “Dan” and Elizabeth Oesdean.

After graduating from high school, John attended 3 years of Trade School. John also served his country during WWII as a Carrier Pilot - holding the rank of Lt. JG - in the United States Navy, in which he received the Victory Medal.

Professionally, John was a Quality Control Engineer, working with solar aeronautics and National Defense.

John was a member of the Presbyterian Faith, as well as a 3rd Degree Mason.

He enjoyed “R.V.ing”, camping, and reading. John also liked home construction, and landscape design.

John is preceded in death by his parents.

He leaves behind his wife of 61 years, Eleanor Oesdean, Clarkdale, Ariz.; and his daughter, Susan Elizabeth Oesdean, Friday Harbor, Wash.
