Paul O. Hines Born in Union County, Illinois on Feb. 12, 1920. Departed on June 25, 2003 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona. Paul Oliver Hines, 83, of Cottonwood died June 25. He was born February 13, 1920 in Union County, Illinois. He was a retired appraiser for the United States Department of Transportation. He served in the Marine Corps during World War II. He was a member of the Elks, Masons, Shriners and St. Thomas of the Valley Episcopal Church. He leaves his wife Kathleen Hines; sons, Michael S. Hines and Patrick R. Hines, both of San Diego, Calif.; sisters, Wilma Lee Spicer, Mesa and Waneta Ledbetter, Mount Pleasant, Iowa. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 1 in the St. Thomas of the Valley Episcopal Church (next to the Clarkdale Post Office) at 11:00 a.m. Donations in his memory may be made to the St. Thomas of the Valley Church Building Fund.
