Ethan Hugh Davies

Posted 2007-11-21 by Tucson Newspapers
Ethan Hugh Davies went to be with the Lord on November 12, 2007, after a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer, in which he was able to keep a smile on his face even when in pain. Born on November 10, 1932, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Royal and Amanda Davies.

Ethan spent 45 years in Graphic Arts sales in the Milwaukee and Minneapolis areas.

He married Sally on September 7, 1957. They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with friends and relatives in Minneapolis.

They retired to Tucson in 2002, enjoying the warm climate. His salesman's personality was not ready for retirement so he kept active working as a monitor at the various buildings in Sun City Vistoso, the retirement community where he lived.

Ethan is survived by his wife, Sally; son, Brian Davies, Chicago, Illinois; daughter, Diane Tarr, Minneapolis, Minnesota; many nieces and nephews; his dog, Maddy, and grand-dogs, Jazmin and Sydney; as well as many friends. He will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2007, at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 7650 N. Paseo del Norte, Tucson, Arizona. A celebration of his life will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Casa de la Luz Hospice Foundation, 400 W. Magee Rd., Tucson, Arizona, 85704, would be greatly appreciated.

Arrangements entrusted to ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES- AVALON CHAPEL.
