Departed on Oct. 26, 2003 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona.

Everett Douglas Bennett, 78, of Cottonwood died October 26. He was born LeMoyne, Nebraska on May 23, 1925.

He was an Army veteran of World War and served in the Eurpoean Theater. He was a member of VFW Post 7400 and American Legion Post 26 and the Loyal Order of the Moose #1449.

Mr. Bennett was a retired carpenter.

He leaves his wife, Anita E. Bennett; two sons, Douglas and Monica Bennett, Littleton, Colo. and Curtis, and Carol Bennett, Medford, Or.; brother Clinton Bennett, Cottonwood and one grandson, August Bennett of Littleton, Colo.

A Memorial service will be held Thursday, October 30 in the Verde Valley Christian Church, Rt. 89 and Zalesky Rd., Cottonwood at 10 AM.
VFW Post 7400 will provide military honors.
