Born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on Sept. 26, 1916.
Departed on Aug. 9, 2007 and resided in Camp Verde, Arizona.

George W. Parker, 90, resident of Camp Verde, passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2007 in Prescott. He was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on September 26, 1916 to George King and Florence Parker.

George served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII.

He received his Bachelor’s Degree from the Toronto Bible College. He then dedicated 50 years of his life in the Gospel Ministry as a Missionary and Pastor. George served in Canada, Michigan, Colorado and Arizona.

In his free time, George enjoyed carpentry.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Muriel Parker of Camp Verde; his sons, David B. Parker with his wife, Connie of Prescott Valley, and Paul Alan Parker with his wife, Tammy of Phoenix; his daughter, Rhonda Jean Blumber with her husband, Larry of Upper Michigan; his sister, Rene Peters of Hamilton, Canada; eight grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 13, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at the Cottonwood Baptist Church, where memorial contributions may be sent in care of Pastor Fred Robertson, 102 E. Pima Street, Cottonwood, Ariz., 86326.

George will be laid to rest on Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Phoenix.
