| Leon Felton Born in Seminole, Oklahoma on Sept. 7, 1925. Departed on Oct. 3, 2003 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona. Leon Felton, 78, of Cottonwood, was born in Seminole, Oklahoma on Sept. 7, 1925 and passed away on October 3, 2003. He served in the 4th Marine Division in the South Pacific during World War II. He married Esther, his wife of 58 years in 1945 and moved to Phoenix in 1949. In 1969, after becoming established in the construction industry, he and his family moved to Flagstaff and formed Coconino Constructors, Inc. As a businessman he was well respected by both his peers and employees. The family was active members of First Assembly of God Church. In 1985, they sold their comapny and he and his wife moved to Cottonwood and formed Verde Asphalt & Materials, Inc. Along with serving on the Board of Directors at the Bank of Verde Valley, he and a partner formed Lion Resources, a commercial real estate company. He and his wife have been members of Life Christian Fellowship Church for 16 years. His greatest joy was being with his family. He will be missed as a wonderful, kind, and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He is survived by his wife, Esther, daughters, Sheryl Reinus, Julie Fields (Don), and Lisa Lopez(Wil); eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and his closest and dearest friend, Mike Mongini. Funeral services will be held at Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E. Mingus Ave. in Cottonwood on Friday, October 10th at 2:00 p.m. with viewing at 1:00 p.m. Graveside services will be at Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6290 W. Northern Ave. in Glendale on Saturday, October 11th at 11:00 a.m. Westcott Funeral Home, Cottonwood and Camp Verde, Arizona. See Also: Find a Grave |
