Edith Joyce Erno, 80 passed away October 11, 2004 in Mesa, Arizona. Joyce was born January 16, 1924 in Lansing, Michigan.

Formerly of Cottonwood, Joyce resided here from 1984 until 2001 when due to health reasons she relocated to Mesa.

Joyce was a happy, positive person all of her life, encouraging and generous in all aspects. She was an English teacher, an avid reader, a Christian who attended the Mesa Church of Christ, and a loving mother of six children whose father Richard Bruce Erno, had passed away on September 6, 1999.

Perhaps the saddest event that happened while she was still alive, after her husband's death was the premature death of her second oldest son Richard G. Erno on January 26, 2004.

Joyce is survived by her children Debra and Doug Hocking, Bruce and Donna Erno, Chris and Kathy Erno, Joanna and Danny Scott, and Janice Erno. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren.

She was laid to rest beside her late husband in Cottonwood, Arizona.

Graveside services were conducted by the Westcott Funeral Home on Friday, October 15, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at Cottonwood, Cemetery.
