Born in Rochester, New York on Aug. 10, 1919.
Departed on Oct. 10, 2004 and resided in Camp Verde, Arizona.

Janet Mary Stocum, 85, of Camp Verde died October 10. She was August 10, 1919 in Rochester, New York.

She graduated from Nazareth Academy in Rochester, New York. Mrs. Stocum worked as a fruit farmer and a breeder for Dobermans in Wolcott, New York. She was a former member of Sacred Heart Cathedral.

A life long learner, she was interested in farming, livestock and domestic operations.

She was preceded in death by her husband John L. Stocum and a brother Robert J. Poole.

Surviving are two sons, Gerald Donnelly, Webster, N.Y. and Hugh Robert Stocum of N.C.; two daughters, Margaret Mary Phelps, Chesapeake, Va. and Barbara Ann Chavez, Cottonwood; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 13 in the Immaculate Conception Church at 10 a.m.

Burial will Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Rochester, New York on October 19 at 1 p.m.

Donations in her memory may be made to Nazareth Academy Scholarship Fund, 1001 Lake Ave., Rochester, NY 14613 or to Immaculate Conception Church, Religous Education Fund, 700 N. Bill Grey Rd., Cottonwood, Ariz., 86326.
