Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ September 25, 2002, p. A7 Celsus "Eddie" Albert Celsus "Eddie" Albert of Wickenburg, passed on to meet his maker on Sept. 16, 2002. He was 94. He was born Aug. 22, 1908 in Salida, Colo. to George and Maude Albert. He married Thelma Delk on Feb. 31, 1932. She preceded him in death in 1997. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad for 31 years until he retired in 1972. He joined the Masonic Lodge in 1946 and held many offices, including High Priest. He was a very active member of the Lions Club from 1974, and had held the office of District Deputy Governor. He was active in the Chamber of Commerce and was chairman of the Gold Rush Parade for five years, in which he did an excellent job and was proud of his status. He is survived by his daughter, Jane Vercellino; granddaughter Michelle Roiland of Phoenix; grandson David W. McConnell of Florida; and two great-grandchildren, Jason and Justine McConnell. Funeral services were held at Frey Funeral Home on Sept. 20, 2002. He will be missed very much. See Also: Find A Grave |
