Patricia Castro Alexander
It is with much sadness that we announce the death of Patricia Castro Alexander on Jan. 1 in Glendale, Calif. Patricia was born on August 7, 1942 in French Camp, Calif., to Alfred and Emma (Eckles) Castro. Her father's heritage went back to the early missions and the second expedition to San Francisco with Juan Bautista de Anza in late 1700s.

She is survived by her beloved children, Doug Bambridge and wife Mary Beth; and Jacqueline Bambridge Freedman and husband Sam; granddaughters Emily Bambridge, Hayley, Chelsea and Sydney Freedman.
Patricia is also survived by her sister Illa Castro Sahlin of Ohio; brother George Castro, and sister-in law Sandy of Glendale, Ariz.; Neal Castro and sister-in-law Dixie of Louisiana; and her brother-in-law Manuel Macias of Wickenburg.

Her nieces and nephews also include Julia Macias Brooks, Debbie Macias Griffiths, Mike Macias, Frank Macias, Alex Macias, David Castro, Gloria Leon, Dale Albrecht, Cindy Albrecht, Laurie Lyons, and Amanda Castro.

She is also survived by many wonderful friends.
Patricia was preceded in death by her sister Carmelita Castro Macias, father Alfred, her nephew Joey Castro, and mother Emma.

A memorial mass is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 25 at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery at the grave of her sister Carmelita. Friends are invited to attend a celebration lunch immediately following the interment.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Wickenburg High School Alumni Scholarship Fund may be made through the Chamber of Commerce.
"She lives on beneath everything she did while here. Her presence influenced who we are, and her absence influences what we are.
Our lives are shaped as much by those who leave us as they are by those who stay.

Loss is our legacy. Insight is our gift. Memory is our guide."
Arrangements were handled through Wickenburg Funeral Home.
