Zella Cook

Graveside services for Zella Cook were held this Tuesday (Jan. 17) at 1:00 p.m. in the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery. Visitation was held on Monday from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Wickenburg Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cook passed away Jan. 13, 2006 at Sun Health Hospice in Sun City West. She was born in Marshall, Ark., on Sept. 30, 1914 to Jacob H. Kelley and Claudia May Kelley.

She was raised in Haskell, Okla., and attended schools there. She married David E. Cook on June 21, 1963 in Fontana, Calif., and they made their home in Pomona. They later moved to El Monte where they resided until moving to Wickenburg in 1990.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, David E. Cook of Wickenburg; daughter and son-in-law Jeanie and Russ Bishop of Wickenburg; son Herman Anspaw of Wichita, Kan.; stepsons and daughters-in-law Ronald and Cathy Cook of Erie, Pa.; and Donald and Sherma Cook of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; five grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by daughter Maxine Dawson in 1998 and four grandchildren.
