Donald W. Rohwedder, 66, of Lake Montezuma, Ariz., formerly of Springfield, died Wednesday, July 1, 1998, at Fort Whipple VA Medical Center in Prescott, Ariz.

He was born April 29, 1932, in East St. Louis, the son of Henry Herman and Katherine Smith Rohwedder. He married June Mode in 1955. Mr. Rohwedder worked as an electrician and assistant superintendent for City Water, Light and Power for 35 years.

He was a Marine veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Rochester, American Legion and a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign War. He had served as past commander and held a lifetime membership in the Marine Corps Collier Harrison Detachment.

Survivors: wife, June Rohwedder; two daughters, Pamella Ann Lawrence of New Port Richey, Fla., and Mary Louise Headley of Omaha, Neb.; a son, Donald F. Rohwedder of Lake Montezuma, Ariz.; three grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and three brothers, Walter of Fairview Heights, Clarence of Caseyville, and Henry of Teutopolis.

Inurnment will be at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.

Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home in Prescott, Ariz., is in charge of arrangements.
