The Wickenburg Sun, Wicknburg, AZ March 27, 2002, p.A6 Geraldine Louise Eason, born Dec. 26, 1920 in Zenda, Kan., passed away Sunday, March 24, 2002 at home in Wickenburg. A cherished mother, sister, and friend, Jeri is now at peace and free from suffering. Her husband Joseph H. Kerstiens of 26 years and Raymond S. Eason of 25 years preceded her in death. She came to Arizona in July 1940, and in 1946 married Joe Kerstiens. She was a partner in Kerstiens Parts and Machines in Phoenix as well as Wickenburg Auto Supply in Wickenburg. Jeri graduated from Arizona State University in 1960 and taught for 17 years in the Special Education Department of Scottsdale School District. Jeri was an avid hunter and accomplished her big ten game animals of Arizona and was awarded the Medal in 1964. She was a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi and supported International of The Americans as well as a long-time member of Midtowners BPW Club of Phoenix. She also was a member of the Los Caballeros Golf Club in Wickenburg. Jeri is survived by daughter E. Louise Grantham (Richard) of Sierra Vista; son Michael J. Kerstiens of Wickenburg; stepsons Richard Eason and Ray Eason Jr.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister Neva Rhodes of Glendale; and brothers Larry Fields of Wickenburg and Kenneth Fields of Lancaster, Kan.
