James W. Wolfenden, - Age 67, of Flint Twp. died Thursday, February 19, 1998 in his home. He was a six month resident of Flint Twp. and a six month resident of Prescott, Arizona. Mr. Wolfenden was born on August 14, 1930 in Detroit where he was a resident for a number of years. He has been a Flint area resident since 1967.

For 25 years he was an employee of Nordlie Wholesale Florist working out of their Detroit and Flint locations. He also in recent years operated a paint and carpet business Prescott, Arizona.

Mr. Wolfenden was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Mr. Wolfenden is survived by: his wife, Ila; 1 daughter, Nancy L. Benning of Flushing; 2 sons, Randy J. Wolfenden and wife Debi of Prescott, Arizona and David P. Wolfenden and wife Peggy of Swartz Creek; 8 grandchildren; Kim and husband Rod Schuler, Jason, Nick and Jimmy, Jason, Sara, Carrie and Holly; 3 great-grandchildren, Ryan, Sarah and Micah. Further survivors include his mother, Eleanor Wolfenden; one sister, Pat Capuano; two brothers, Ed Wolfenden and wife Joann, Rick Wolfenden and wife Rita; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, James T. Wolfenden and 2 brothers, Gary and Bobby.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, February 22, 1998 at the Reigle Funeral Home Sunset Chapel, 5501 W. Pierson Rd., Pastor E.L. Etzel of St. Paul Lutheran Church will officiate. Services will conclude at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. tonight and Saturday from 12 noon to 4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. and Sunday from 12 noon until time of the service.

The family wishes to express their deep appreciation and thanks for the care and kindness shown them by McLaren Hospice.
