PRESCOTT, Ariz. - Services for John C. Williams, 52, of Prescott were held under the direction of the Hampton Funeral Home, Prescott.

Mr. Williams, who died May 13 at home, was an attorney for the past 13 years. He was recognized by the Arizona Bar Association for freeing a prisoner wrongfully convicted of murder. Previously, he had been a pilot for Eastern Air Lines. Mr. Williams received a law degree from Arizona State University in 1977.

Born in Paterson, N.J., he lived in Cranford, N.J., before moving to Prescott.

Surviving are his wife, Beki; a son, Matthew; his mother, Eleanor Williams, and three brothers, James, Arthur and Robert.
