Camp Verde Bugle, Camp Verde, Arizona Wednesday, July 08, 2009 Barbara Jean Phillips Kermeen, 40, of Rimrock died July 5. She was born April 22, 1969, in Prescott, the daughter of Gus and Charlsa Phillips. She attended schools in Beaver Creek, Pine and Payson and was a graduate of Payson High School and had an accounting degree. She worked at Wal-Mart and also as a care-giver in assisted care centers. She had been a longtime caregiver for her grandparents. She was a quilt maker and enjoyed long rides in the country, traveling, camping, hunting and swimming. She is remembered as a good mother and was taken from her family too soon but will always remain in their hearts. She leaves a son, Cody Lee Kermeen of Pine and Cody's father, Steve Kermeen of Payson; two brothers, Daniel J. Phillips (Gina) of Camp Verde and Danny H. Phillips (Daneen) of Cottonwood; her significant other Dean Welch and numerous aunts, uncles, friends and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 11 in the Westcott Funeral Home at 11 a.m. The family asks that any remembrances be given to an account to benefit her son, Cody Lee Kermeen, #457014470198 at Bank of America.
