Marie Cruzita Leyva, 88, of Prescott, Arizona, born Feb. 18, 1918 in Finley, Texas, died Wednesday, May 24, 2006, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 29, with a vigil/rosary service at 7 p.m. at the Hampton Funeral Home, 240 S. Cortez St., Prescott, Arizona.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, at Sacred Heart Church.

Internment will be in the family plot at Mountain View Cemetery.

Maria Cruzita Leyva, age 88, died May 24, 2006 at Yavapai Regional Medical Center. She was born Feb. 18, 1918, in Finley, Texas, to Leonirez Perez and Josefa (Maesa) Perez.

Mrs. Leyva worked as an assembler in electrical parts manufacturing in Southern California for many years. She retired in 1980 and moved to Prescott with her husband. She also was a homemaker.

Maria is survived by husband Julian of Prescott; sister Antonia Lopez of El Paso, Texas; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Sanchez and Paula Carrillo of Prescott.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Emma Flores, Manuelita Chavira, and Rosenala Ruiz.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 29, with a Vigil/Rosary service at 7 p.m. at the Hampton Funeral Home, 240 S. Cortez St., Prescott. Mass of Christian

Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, at Sacred Heart Church.

Final prayers and committal will follow the service at Mountain View Cemetery.

The Hampton Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
