MILFORD -- Herbert Clifford (Cliff) Cook 86, passed away Dec. 26, 1999 in Milford, Utah.

Cliff was born to Herbert and Dora Cook on December 12, 1913 in Prescott, Arizona. He attended and graduated from Prescott High School in 1932. Married Helen Jones in 1934.

She passed away in March 1953. He married Lillian Mayer on April 25, 1969 in Ely, Nevada.

He was a peace officer for 25 years in Arizona and Utah. He was a City Judge and Justice of the Peace in Milford, Utah. Here and there, he was, also, mining at Alta, Utah and the Horn Silver Mine.

Survivors are his wife, Lillian; son, Jim C. and Joyce Cook, Clarkdale, AZ; daughter, Leiloni and Dale Shadle, Snowflake, AZ. He also had stepchildren, Jerry and Jan Mayer, Milford, UT; Don and Judy Mayer, Sandy, UT; George Mayer, Colfax, CA; Karen and Gary Leigh, Cedar City, UT; Marilyn Ranson, Woods Cross, UT; Tom Mayer, Colton, CA; and Douglas and Lisa Mayer, Boise, ID; He has six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren.

He had one brother, Charles and one sister, Catherine, who preceded him in death.

Cliff was a member of the Milford Lions Club for 33 years. He was a member of the Seventh-Day-Adventist Church for the last five years.

In lieu of flowers the family would ask that you donate to the Milford Valley Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be Wednesday December 29, 1999 at the Milford LDS Church at 1 p.m. Friends may call Tuesday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Olpin Mortuary in Milford, UT and from 11 a.m.-12 noon at Olpin Mortuary before going to the church for services.

Interment will be in the Milford Cemetery under the direction of Olpin Mortuary.
