Edwin M. Parnell

A memorial Mass for Edwin M. Parnell, 76, will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church in Sun City. He died of a heart attack July 3 at Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott, Ariz., while on vacation.

Inurnment was in Riverside National Cemetery.

The Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home in Prescott handled arragements.

Mr. Parnell, who was born in Somerset, Wis., lived in Sun City 15 years. He retired from Transamerica Occidental Life Insurance Co. after 34 years as a policy and procedures analyst.

Mr. Parnell served in the U. S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

He was a parishioner of St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church.

Mr. Parnell enjoyed traveling, playing golf and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Eileen; a daughter, Mary Parnell Zalazowski of Salinas; three sons, Edwin Jr. of Upland, Alan of Chino Valley, Ariz. and Tim of San Bernardino; seven grandchildren; and a sister, Lola Palmer of Sun Center, Fla.
