Wayne (Dee) Barnes

W. (Dee) Barnes of Chino Valley, Ariz., died Nov. 26, 2007, of a
heart attack. He was born Oct. 7, 1961, in Phoenix. He was the son
of Wayne D. and Betty A. (Weinbeck) Barnes. Dee was 46 years old.

Dee married the love of his life Carrie Spurlin on March 20, 1988.
He was a Phoenix police officer for five years before joining the
Chino Valley Police Department in August 1989. Dee was a sergeant
for the department and was the second-longest serving officer.

Dee was very active in community; he was a member of the Chino
Valley’s VFW, Lions, Elk Lodge #2842, the Rod & Gun Club and the
Word of Life Assembly of God. Dee was a member of Chino’s FOP as
well as the state FOP and Arizona Cops.

Dee is survived by his wife, Carrie; daughters Savanah Dee and
Hailey Ann; his parents Wayne and Betty.

W. (Dee) Barnes, of Chino Valley, Arizona died November 26, 2007 of
a heart attack. He was born October 7, 1961 in Phoenix, Ariz. the
son of Wayne D. and Betty A. (Weinbeck) Barnes.

He was a Phoenix police officer for five years before joining the

department and was the second longest serving officer.

Dee is survived by his wife, Carrie, daughters Savanah Dee and
Hailey Ann; his parents Wayne and Betty and his sister Cynthia
(Ronald) Kee.

A procession will start at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 3rd, from
Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez to the Word of
Life Assembly of God Church, 590 W Road 1 N, Chino Valley.

A Celebration of Dee's Life will be at 1:00 p.m. with visitation 2
hours prior.

In lieu of flowers donations to Wayne Dee Barnes Memorial Fund at
any Chase Bank, account # 772055471 is requested.
