The Times Union, Albany, New York Wednesday, December 22, 1999 PRESCOTT, AZ -- Max Applebaum, 87, of Prescott, Arizona and formerly of Albany, died on December 18, 1999 at Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott. He was born October 30, 1912 in Poland to the late Samuel Applebaum and Marium Hirshorn Applebaum. Mr. Applebaum was employed by the State of New York as a system analyst. He moved to Arizona from Albany 26 years ago. He enjoyed golfing. He was a board member of the Albany Civic Theatre for a number of years before retirement. He and his wife loved to square dance and round dance. He appreciated his little nest in the west everyday, that is what he called home. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elizabeth; a daughter, Judith Hinds of Springfield, VA; a step-son, Morton B. Hess of Albany; a brother, Daniel Applebaum of NY; a sister, Hanna Wolfson of Pittsburg, PA; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
