The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ Sep. 25, 2002, p. 7 Richard Louis Hershkowitz, 71, of Wickenburg passed away on Sept. 20, 2002, with his family at his side. Born in Glendale, Ariz. In 1930, Richard Hershkowitz attended Wickenburg High School and later served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He worked as an equipment operator for 29 years at Arizona Public Service Co. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Shirley A. Hershkowitz; two sons, Bill and Dobie; seven grandchildren; his sisters Joyce and Shirley Ann; and his brothers George and Macky. He was preceded in death by his son, Dick, and his brother, Junior. Richard was selflessly devoted to his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held on Friday, Sept. 27 at 10 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Wickenburg, 180 N. Adams St., with a graveside service immediately following at the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery. After the services friends and family are invited to attend a gathering to celebrate his life at the Wickenburg Elks Lodge at 122 N.
