Eleanor Marie (Bilyou) Lahey

Eleanor Marie Lahey, 82, of Wickenburg, Ariz., passed away Nov. 10 in Youngtown, Ariz.

Mrs. Lahey was born Aug. 8, 1921 in Middletown, N.Y. to William and Kathryn (McCallister) Bilyou.

She was known for and proud of her career with the U.S. Government. She worked clerically as an accountant, secretary and office manager. She began work during World War II at the Pentagon. She spent 30 years working with the U.S. Air Force, Internal Revenue Service and various other government offices. She and her husband Tom moved to Wickenburg from Newburgh, N.Y. in 1976 to retire. They enjoyed traveling, visiting Hawaii and Japan. Mrs. Lahey enjoyed reading and playing solitaire with a deck of cards only she knew.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Joe and Carolyn Lahey of Wickenburg, Ariz.; daughter Elle Nichols of Shokan, N.Y.; grandchildren Jeremy, Jessica and Johnathan Nichols all of Shokan, N.Y., Sam and Jamie Lauriella , both of Los Angeles, Calif., and Tracey Wheeler of Meritt Island, Fla.; and great-grandchildren Grace and Max Wheeler of Meritt Island, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Tom.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov. 12 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Wickenburg
Funeral Home with Rosary Services at 7 p.m.

Service will be Thursday, Nov. 13 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with burial to follow in the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery. Father John Vogt will officiate. Arrangements by Wickenburg Funeral Home.
