'AL' LANCASTER FUNERAL TUESDAY

Members of the Odd Fellows Lodge, the Rebekahs and World War I Veterans conducted graveside rites at the Wickenburg Cemetery Tuesday afternoon for Alvin S. Lancaster, longtime resident of Wickenburg and connected with the business life of this community for more than 17 years. Christian Science services were held at the Wickenburg Chapel at 2 p.m. preceding the burial rites.

A native of Linton, Indiana, where he was born May 5, 1894, Mr Lancaster known to everyone as "Al" moved west to California in 1921, living in Long Beach. He came to Wickenburg in 1934. For more than 10 years he operated a tire shop in the building near the intersection of Center and Tegner Streets which was recently removed following a fire. For more than seven years he was with the Mobil Station on the California Highway.

Mr Lancater was a veteran of World War I.

Surviving are the widow Nellie and two stepsons, Robert Bruce of Whittier, Calif. and Vern Bruce of Gardena, Calif.
