W. J. Micklethwait Funeral Services
Held Last Monday

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Monday of this week for Walter J. Micklethwait whose sudden and unexpected death from a heart attack early 'the previous Friday, shocked and grieved his many friends in this community, He passed away at his home on El Recreo Drive.
Dr Charles S. Poling, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, conducted the funeral services at the church and burial took place in the Wickenburg Cemetery with Masonic services at the graveside.

Born In Ohio

A native of Portsmouth, Ohio, where he was born December 13, 1884, Mr. Micklethwait came to Arizona in 1920 and had lived in Prescott, Winslow and Williams before moving to Wickenburg in 1951, following retirement from the Santa Fe railroad. He was an elder of the First Presbyterian Church here; past master of the Masonic lodge of Williams and past patron of the Order of the Eastern' Star in the same town. Here in Wickenburg he had affiliated with both orders.

The Survivors
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. De Lyle Micklethwait and two sons, Ralph of Brady, Tex., and Frank of Hammond, Ind. One brother, John, of Portsmouth, also survives.

Pallbearers at the funeral Monday were E. T. W. Coulter of Goodyear, Ariz., M. E. Spivey of Glendale, William Bass, Harry Cooke, Jr., 'Robert Sullivan and Gene C. Rambo. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Presbyterian Church session.
