Cecil Aline (Watts Christofferson) Rosebery

Aline Rosebery, formerly Aline Christofferson, nee Cecil Aline Watts, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2003. "Grandma Chris" was born in Alma, Ark., on Feb. 12, 1912, to Fern and Ernest Watts.

She attended high school in Sidney, Mont., graduating in 1929. After completing Business College in Billings, Mont., she married Thorvald Rasmus (Ted) Christofferson in 1935 in Glasgow, Mont. They had three children: Bonnie Fern, Joy Ann and Gary Lee.

After living in Fort Peck, Mont., Houston, Texas, Kent, Wash., and Post Falls, Idaho, they moved to Wickenburg in 1954.
After Ted's passing in 1957, Aline worked for several years in Wickenburg at the Sears & Hill car dealership and at the Pollman Insurance Agency.

She moved to Phoenix in 1962 and worked as a legal secretary for Phoenix Title & Trust, Transamerica Title and Pioneer Bank, retiring in 1977.

In 1983 she married Ralph Rosebery, who passed away in 1988. During her retirement, she spent a number of years in Evergreen, Colo., and Albuquerque, N.M., returning to Phoenix in 1997.

Grandma Chris is survived by her three children and their spouses, Bonnie and Charles Grames of Medford Lakes, N.J.; Joy and Lars Johnson of Surprise, Ariz.; and Gary and Sue Christofferson of Phoenix, Ariz. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Grandma Chris loved music, playing the piano, reading and writing.

Graveside services were planned to be held at the Wickenburg Cemetery on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, at 2 p.m.
Arrangements were handled by Wickenburg Funeral Home.
