Ted J. Weisel, Sr., 72, passed away Feb. 23, 2002 after a massive coronary.

Ted is survived by his wife Sally; son Ted Jr.; daughter Charlotte; two grandchildren; one brother; and two sisters.

Ted was born in Phoenix and graduated high school and the first year of college from Saint Anthony's seminary in Santa Barbara, Calif.
He was a tank commander and combat veteran of the Korean War. Upon his return from Korea, Ted attended the University of San Francisco.

Ted retired to Wickenburg after a 20-year career with Exxon Corporation. He was very active in the Catholic Church and the Wickenburg community.

Ted's community service achievement included co-founding the Saint Anthony of Padua conference of St. Vincent De Paul, serving as president of the Wickenburg chapter of the Lions Club International, founding the Senior Altar Servers Group of St. Anthony of Padua, and as "dishwasher extraordinaire" for the Wickenburg Knights of Columbus events.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to one of the following charitable organizations: National Federation of the Blind, Society of St. Vincent De Paul or the Lions Club International.

Rosary will be held at the Wickenburg Funeral Home at 7 p.m. Thursday (Feb. 28).

A funeral mass will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Wickenburg at 10 a.m. Friday (March 1).
St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church is located at 232 N. Tegner St. in downtown Wickenburg.

Wickenburg Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
