Born in Radnor, Ohio on March 12, 1920.
Departed on Sept. 10, 2005 and resided in Clarkdale, Arizona.

Robert Dean Peel, 85, of Clarkdale died September 12. He was born March 12, 1920 in Radnor, Ohio.

He was a Coast Guard veteran where he served as a mechanic.

A graduate of Athens University, he he received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio University and his PhD from Ohio State University.

Dr. Peel was a retired Regional Manager of Agricultural Research for Campbell's Soup Company.

He was a Past Exalted Ruler of the Elks. A passionate supporter of animal rights issues, he was also an avid reader, outdoorsman and had an insatiable thirst for knowledge.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Martha M. Peel; sons, Rick Peel. Cottonwood and Bob Peel, Nacogdoches, Tx.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 10 in the Westcott Funeral Home at 11 a.m.
