Born in Turon, Kansas on Dec. 4, 1915.
Departed on Sept. 2, 2006 and resided in Clarkdale, Arizona.

Adelia May Harris, 90, resident of Clarkdale, Arizona passed away at her home on Thursday, September 2, 2006. She was born on December 4, 1915 in Turon, Kansas to Logan and Stella Hargett.

Adelia was a graduate of Stafford High School, following which she attended Beautician’s School in Kansas. Professionally, she was a beautician and a store clerk. Adelia also taught piano lessons for many years. Her favorite roles where those of housewife, mother, and cook – all of which she excelled.

Adelia attended numerous churches and loved volunteering her services at church events; she was an organist and pianist for the Verde Valley Christian Church. She was also an excellent seamstress and loved making children’s clothing. Other enjoyments included needlepoint and gardening.

She is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Cecil Harris.

Adelia leaves behind her sons, Phil L. Harris, wife, Judy, Jerome, Ariz., and Billy Joe Harris, wife Debbie, Clarkdale, Ariz.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
