Robert "The Bull" Kelley passed away on Sept. 4, 2008, in Phoenix, Ariz. Bobby was born on Nov. 9, 1942, in Wickenburg, Ariz., to Lewis and Lucille Thomason Kelley. He is survived by two brothers, Billy Kelley of Kingman, Ariz., and Rick Kelley of Congress, Ariz., also a sister, Donna Kelley McGhee of Glendale, Ariz. His family moved to Big Bear Lake in 1959 where he played football from 1959-1962. He made player of the year and held many rushing records throughout his football career as a half- back. He got to go with the team to the CIF playoff in his senior year. After graduating, Bobby was in a car accident during the summer of 1962 where he sustained brain damage and became disabled. His last years he enjoyed playing golf with his brother Rick. A service will be held at Congress Cemetery on Oct. 18, 2008. Cards can be sent to: The Kelley Family, P.O. Box 135, Congress, AZ. 85332.
